iBrowse Error “Internet Explorer Cannot Open the Internet Site” – Troubleshooting

Description of the Problem This error is received when logging in to iBrowse. This is a Microsoft bug that has not been fixed, and is derived from one of the automatic updates from IE 6/7 or Windows XP.
Click here for possible solutions in the Microsoft site. To solve this problem:
  1. Upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.
  2. Disable the Skype add-ons. Do as follows:

a. Open Internet Explorer. b. From the menubar, select Tools > Manage Add-ons. The Manage Add-ons screen is displayed. b. In the Name column, in the Skype Technologies SA section, right-click the first row, and select Disabled. As a result, the Status column is displayed as Disabled. d. Repeat for all other rows in the Skype section.

e.   Click Close when done.

  1. If there are no Skype components, or the problem persists, repeat the procedure for all add-ons. Re-enable them one by one until you identify the problematic component.
